Black Label Grading was founded in 2020 to make professional card grading accessible to collectors across the UK and EU. What began as a small operation built around Beckett Grading Services has grown into a full-service grading platform supporting PSA, Beckett (BGS), and CGC.
We were the first intermediary in the UK and EU to provide direct access to Beckett Grading Services, giving collectors a way to submit cards internationally without the complexity, cost, and risk of sending them to the United States themselves. That same approach now underpins all of our partnerships today.
Black Label Grading is now run by a dedicated in-house team, supported by a network of show staff across the UK and an EU hub managed by our European operations team. This allows us to handle submissions at scale while maintaining careful handling, traceability, and customer support at every stage.
As an official dealer for PSA, Beckett, and CGC, we act as a trusted middleman between collectors and grading companies. You submit your cards to us, and we handle the preparation, export, tracking, and return process from start to finish. Our platform provides structured order tracking, consolidated shipping, and clear insurance and liability coverage so that your cards move through the grading system securely and transparently.
Our focus is simple: give collectors real choice between the major grading companies, clear guidance on how to submit correctly, and careful handling of every card throughout the grading journey.

John co-founded Black Label Grading in 2020 to give UK and EU collectors reliable access to professional card grading services in the United States. Working alongside his wife and business partner, Vicky, he built BLG around a simple idea: remove the friction, cost, and risk from international grading so collectors can focus on their cards, not the logistics.
Before founding Black Label Grading, John worked across sales, recruitment, and commercial operations in multiple industries, developing a strong background in customer service, negotiation, and process management. That experience now underpins how BLG operates, from submission handling and customer communication to international logistics and compliance.
A lifelong collector himself, John understands both the financial and emotional value of trading cards. That perspective shapes BLG’s approach to card care, transparency, and accountability across every submission.
Under John’s leadership, Black Label Grading has grown into one of the UK and EU’s leading grading intermediaries, working with PSA, Beckett (BGS), and CGC, supported by a dedicated in-house team, European operations, and a nationwide show presence.

Vicky co-founded Black Label Grading alongside John in 2020, bringing a blend of analytical thinking and commercial creativity to the business. With a background in Chemistry and a career in Marketing, she approaches customer communication with the same precision and structure she once applied in the lab.
Her role at BLG spans brand, customer experience, and communication strategy, ensuring that collectors always know where their cards are, what to expect next, and how their submissions are being handled. That clarity has become one of Black Label Grading’s defining strengths.
Vicky’s focus on transparency, consistency, and customer trust has helped shape BLG into a platform that collectors rely on for high-value submissions. Alongside John, she continues to drive the company’s growth across the UK, EU, and international grading partners.
We submit cards regularly to Beckett, PSA & CGC. We endeavour to get cards shipped within 1-2 weeks of receiving them, offering a quick processing time.
